What Is Zaplee?
Zaplee is a company switchboard. Whether you’re a large or small company, you will have to take incoming calls from your customers. Zaplee allows you to set up a switchboard so that you can have multiple customers calling in at the same time, and based on what need the customer selects, he will be routed automatically to the right employee as soon as the employee is available to take calls.
Why do I need Zaplee?
If you are a small company, you can use Zaplee to get a single number for your company that allows your customers to call you at a central place. Your employees will get extensions within Zaplee, such as “Dial extension 101” to reach Steve, or “Press 1 for Customer Service.” Zaplee provides you with a professional call system at very low per-month cost and very little technical configuration, allowing you to concentrate on your business, instead of worrying about managing your phone system.
Do I need to install anything to use Zaplee?
No, Zaplee is completely hosted, there is nothing to download or install.
What does Zaplee cost?
Zaplee costs you $10/employee for all incoming calls to Skype, SIP, the Zaplee Web Phone or (coming soon) gTalk. There is also a small per minute charge for old-style phones, and if you employee dials out through the Zaplee switchboard. There are no hidden costs beyond this. We do not charge per extension, so your employees can receive calls on their cellphones. Unlike other companies, we do not count this as another seat.
How do I get a TollFree/800 number?
There is a toll free option during the registration process where you can get a Toll Free number. If you decide to get one later, you can do so by going to the Profile tab in Zaplee.
How soon will my number start working after I create the account?
In most countries, almost immediately. Some countries have local registration requirements and will provision a number after those registration requirements are met. If a country does have local registration requirements, our support department will be in touch with you, you will likely have to provide proper ID, address verification, business registration numbers, etc.
I have offices in multiple countries, how can I provide a local number in each country pointing to the same Zaplee account?
Start by creating an account in your primary country, then just log into Zaplee and go into the Profile tab. Here you can provision local numbers in over 40 countries instantly!
Why are you asking for my credit card when I register? Isn’t this a free trial?
We provide a 30 day money back guarantee with our account but not a free trial. We pay a cost to provision the local number for you so to prevent individuals from creating multiple accounts that incur a cost, we charge you upfront.
Do I need a SkypeConnect account to use Zaplee?
No, you do not need SkypeConnect, you can simply choose a number from Zaplee during the registration process. In fact, Zaplee provides free, local, numbers in many countries are and include unlimited number of channels.
What are SkypeConnect Channels?
SkypeConnect Channels allow you to carry one conversation at a time. If you anticipate having more than one concurrent call, you will have to get more channels. If you get a number from Zaplee, you do not need SkypeConnect or any channels.
I already have a number, can I port the number to Zaplee?
Typically, you can port your inbound number to Zaplee. There are some city codes our exchange/carrier partners do not support and those cannot be ported. To ensure your number can be ported, contact us at support@zaplee.com

What is the per-minute charge for dialing out? Why should I use Zaplee for this?
The per-minute charge can vary depending on the country being called. In the US, it is 2.3c per minute. The benefit to you is that your customers see your company number’s switchboard on their caller ID, and will not need to remember your company’s phone number to call you back – it’s already in their phone when you call them. In addition, you don’t need to show them your personal home or cellphone number, allowing you to keep business separate without needing to carry two phones.
How can I cancel my account?
If at any time, you're not happy with our service, you can log into Zaplee, navigate to the Account page and click on "Cancel Subscription". If you are within the 30 day trial period, we will refund your charges immediately.
